Losing Mimi and Going to college

On Saturday, August 14, the day after Friday the 13th, Tiffany's grandma Mimi passed away. Tiffany was really close to her Mimi and she practically raised Tiff. Yesterday, they had the funeral. It was really sad and Tiffany told me she was kind of scared of the casket at first, but she didn't know why. Thankfully her mom had invited Nick, her boyfriend, (or Paul as the cousins call him) to come and he did a good job comforting her in the midst of her sorrow. There were lots of flowers and tears and hugs. She said it felt like a backwards wedding because of all the formalities and everyone was sad at the beginning and happy at the end. The cousins came over after the party and her brother Nick taught Josiah, her autistic cousin, how to play Wii. It was an experience. Tiff tried to help. Then her and Nick (love) went back to school.

This time she brought me with her! Horray! I love the big dorm room. Her roommate, Dianka, is really nice. She wants to be a vet too.  She's pretty quiet though. Tiffany brought Ronald, her clown doll that she got at a parade from a little girl, too. He's glad to be back. Everything is meticulously organized.

This morning I saw her wake up at 6 am because Dianka's phone alarm went off. Then she went back to sleep and woke up again at 7:45 am. Around 9 am she came back after realizing that she had woken up 2 hours early. She says Chemistry sucks again, but she's going to beat it with not just one but 2 tutors! (Hopefully). History is awesome. She says Sacier is a great teacher. Everyone else thinks so too. It's kind of cold in here sometimes but I like being up high because I can look out of the window and see the college students go by. I really like it here. :)
